I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years now and recently have become sodisappointedwith our relationship that I am seriously thinking of joining and online dating site, and not to look for a fling and just cheat on him but to look for a new relationship. I know it sounds bad and it'sexactlythe kind of thing that we as women always blame men for doing but I just don't see my boyfriend making any move to go forwards and I cannot stay in limbo and wait for him forever. Yesterday when I was online a bit Ivisitedone of the morepopularonline dating sites and read a few of their success stories, this made me even sadder as I realized that what those people have is not something that I am ever going to have with my boyfriend and that if he really loved me he would have already proposed or at least made a stronger commitment.

When we first met he was so nice and such a gentleman and he told me that he was looking for a serious relationship. We became more involved and we both agreed that we were in it for the long run and that we both wanted the same thing. I remember I used to adore the way he would like to make plans for the future and we would talk about our kids and how we wanted to have a business together. Slowly the years began to pas and before I knew it he no longer talked about the future and he was no longer as sweet and loving as he used to be. Now it's been 4 years and if I even bring the conversation up aboutcommitmenthe begins to get upset and frustrated.

So as you can see this is why this whole online dating idea came up. I guess I could just break up with him first and then try the online dating but I guess I am not quite ready to make that step. When I think about being alone I get a big pain in my chest and I get really scared. I don't think I have the strength to leave him first, so I will find someone else and then leave him. I have to be strong about this and learn how to stand on my own, so far my being so soft with him has made him into a man different than the one I fell in love with.
